Microprocessor-controlled contact free ignition system is a logic continuation of an electronic ignition.This is designed for 12 V modifications of motorcycles Ural and Dnepr with two cylinder carburetor-engines.

Microprocessor-controlled contact free ignition system is developed for improvement of technical characteristics of the motorcycles and hence:

-          The engine starts better during cold weather.

-          Engine operation is more stable because of lower asynchrony of ignition, and optimization of the pre-ignition angle is improved according to the engine speed.

-          Toxicity of engine’s exhaust gases and fuel intake is reduced as well as generation of carbon deposits on the spark plugs thanks to the increased inductive discharge phase of the spark.

-          Starting of an engine is more reliable even when the battery voltage drops up to 6 V.

-          Operating cost of maintenance and assembly of ignition system is lower.

-          Weaker voltage passes the primary ignition coil winding during shorter time, which in turn protects the ignition coil against overheating and the battery against discharging.
